The Mini London Marathon Championship is an event held every year, prior to the main event, it is aimed at young people.

It offers a 1 mile route for children in school years from Reception to Year 7. In addition to that there is a 2.6km route for participants in Years 4-12 who can go a bit further.

The Mini London Marathon offers a showcase for upcoming athletes - in the past it has kick started the careers of huge names such Laura Muir, Keely Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr.

In the past Sir Mo Farah has won the event three times between 1998-2000.
