How much do you know about one of the most iconic areas in Liverpool? People come from far and wide to visit and marvel at the history and beauty in more recent times, of our Docks. Liverpool’s docks dominated global trade in the 19th century. To this day, the Mersey continues to play a central role in the city’s cultural life, with Royal Albert Dock forming an integral part of the city’s iconic waterfront. Full of history, the Docks are celebrating their 180th anniversary this week. The BBC's Tony Snell spoke with Green Badge Guide and Vice Chair of the LCR Tourguides Association, Charlotte Martin, to learn more about Liverpool's iconic docks.
