Theatre Director and Dramaturg Marlie Haco: ‘I’ve never actually been into my favourite shop!’

Marlie Haco is a multi-disciplinary theatre professional. She grew up in north London and trained on the National Theatre Directors Course, she holds an Acting Diploma from Central School of Speech and Drama, and an English Literature degree from Cambridge University. As a Director, her work focuses on creating expressionistic theatre - a style that uses the tools of live performance to bring us closer to the psychosocial experience of the characters. As a Dramaturg, she works with writers to develop their scripts across a range of theatrical forms and genres. She was formerly Resident Director at Hampstead Theatre.
