One in four primary school leavers unable to swim 25m

New figures uncovered by the BBC suggest just over a quarter of pupils in England left primary school last year, unable to proficiently swim at least 25 metres.

In the North East 72% of Year 6 pupils could swim 25 metres, hitting the national average figure.
