Ice cream shop owner Petra Tanos: ‘My worst London journey was my first!’
A particularly bad Heathrow journey still haunts this Listed Londoner.
Petra Tanos is the owner of Sticks & Cones, an independent ice cream shop on Paddington Street in Marylebone - where she’s a long-term resident.
Originally from Hungary, she came to the capital in the late 90s to study History of Art at University College London. Afterwards, she entered the world of sustainable food and agriculture, and ended up having a 20-year career in the sector, including nearly a decade at the World Economic Forum.
She started Sticks & Cones at the start of this year, focusing on inventive flavours alongside familiar classics.
Robert Elms found out about Petra Tanos's favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between.
