UKIP calls for 50,000 immigration cap
Ahead of its manifesto launch, UKIP has said its plans will include leaving the European Union, cutting the international aid budget, and increasing spending on defence.
Suzanne Evans, UKIP's Head of Policy, said the party wanted to reverse the “huge” level of immigration over the past decade, so the next five years would have to be “quite strict”.
She called for a “limit of 50,000 on skilled workers coming across from around the world".
