Live at the BBC Proms: Tenebrae and Nigel Short perform Joby Talbot's 'Path of Miracles'.

Presented by Sarah Walker, live from St George's Bristol.

Follow the Camino – the ancient pilgrim route – to Spain’s Santiago de Compostela in the spiritually charged choral ecstasy of Joby Talbot’s Path of Miracles: a pilgrimage in sound. The 500-mile musical journey starts at the Abbey of Roncesvalles at the foot of the Pyrenees, travelling across the country via the great cathedrals of Burgos and León, and with music that sees minimalist patterns meet the beauty of plainchant and bell chimes. Nigel Short conducts his award-winning choir Tenebrae – the work’s ‘magnificent’ commissioners – in this Proms premiere.
