How is a new wave of film-making finding success by appealing to traditional American values? Ros Atkins speaks to Max Tani of Semafor as well as Brandon Purdie of Angel Studios and Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten of Wonder Project about how these films are finding an audience and making money.

Also on the programme, a project to archive the oral history of local newspapers. Ros is joined by former BBC journalist Clare Jenkins, Alan Powell, former editor of the Sheffield Star, and Jim Waterson, editor of London Centric, to discuss the changing landscape of local news.

Plus, we hear how prison radio is helping people prepare for life outside of jail with Garth St Clair, the co-Founder of Rise Maximum Radio in Trinidad and Tobago, and Ninna Gaensler-Debs, the co-director of Uncuffed, a training programme for prisoners in California.
