Recovered memories and explosive sound

Verity Sharp presents a voyage around the world of ear-bending experimental listening, celebrating the best in weird and wonderful sounds from across the musical spectrum.

There are intricately weaved and impactful memories of protest, poetry and familial voices from field recordist and improviser Isabel Crespo Pardo on their solo electroacoustic debut 'tanto te he querido' (so much I've loved you). We also check in on Poland’s Sanitorium of Sound Festival, previewing artists who will take the stage under this year’s theme, the ‘Secret Element of Combustion’, exploring “the eruption of tensions, transformations, and liminal states.”

Elsewhere in the show: catalogued musical mistakes from cult Berlin label Kashual Plastik and recently unearthed traditional Malaysian-tinged expressions of latin-jazz from Alfonso Soliano on 'Tiga Trombone'.
