Every week, the Must Watch podcasters review the biggest TV and streaming shows.

This week, Scott Bryan and Hayley Campbell review Euphoria, Mint and Margo's Got Money Troubles.

What do the Must Watch reviewers make of them?

Euphoria (HBO Max/Sky/Now)

Must Watch reviews: Euphoria

Every week, the Must Watch podcasters review the biggest TV and streaming shows.

The long‑delayed third series of Sam Levinson’s hit drama jumps forward five years, following Rue (Zendaya) and her former classmates as they navigate adulthood after their once‑tight friendship group has splintered. The cast includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schafer.

Scott says Euphoria is "stylistically impressive, has great cinematography, and of course made Hollywood stars from some of the cast.”

Euphoria has lost its way"

“This third series has just become style over substance.”

“For the most part, it doesn't really feel like it's got a clear direction," adding that that the show has "lost its way".

Scott says "it's not a Must Watch. It's just depressing because you knew what it was capable of doing".

Hayley says that while it's not a Must Watch, she will be watching "every episode".

“I loved Euphoria in the past. It was always deliberately shocking but there would be something meaningful in amongst the chaos.”

“This new series feels like they're doing everything just for the shock or just because they can.”

Hayley says she agrees with some people “who would argue that they shouldn't have done this series at all".

“It feels kind of dated, it’s not great, it feels like a mess. I'm going to watch every second.”

Scott and Hayley decided this is not a Must Watch.

All episodes of Euphoria are available to watch on HBO Max, Sky and the streaming service NOW with a new episode from the third season every Monday.

Mint (BBC)

Mint is a new series on BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The eight parter, created, written and directed by Charlotte Regan, is a modern day Romeo and Juliet mixed in with The Sopranos, following the courtship of Arran (Benjamin Coyle-Larner, known as the musician Loyle Carner) and Shannon (Emma Laird), who both come from rival crime families.

Scott says that while this is a "good watch", it isn't a Must Watch.

I really wanted to like it"

“It is certainly different than a lot of crime dramas we've seen. Those moments where you see the sparks fly really stand out.”

“I think it captures those hedonistic first days where you really meet somebody and you want to spend your time with them.”

“Unfortunately for me, the pacing was just a little bit too slow and that did not make me feel as compelled.”

Hayley says that she "wanted to like this one so much more" than she actually did.

“I love the fact that they're focusing on the women in the kind of story that is usually focused on the men.”

“My problems with this are all stylistic. You're either going to completely love this or just not see the appeal at all.”

“Instead of making me feel something, I could just see what the director was trying to make me feel.”

“I really wanted to like it and I just didn't want to watch anymore.”

Scott and Hayley both agreed that this was not a Must Watch.

Mint is now streaming on BBC iPlayer, with episodes airing on BBC One.

Margot's Got Money Troubles (Apple TV)

Margo's Got Money Troubles is an American comedy-drama television series created by David E. Kelley, based on a 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe. It stars Elle Fanning, Nick Offerman, Greg Kinnear, Thaddea Graham, Michael Angarano, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman.

Scott says this show "had such great performances that felt layered".

funny but not too provocative"

“I really cared about the characters and their intentions pretty much from the off.”

“I like the fact that you can't really necessarily tell where it is going.”

“It is swinging between being quite earnest but not too cliché, and being funny but not too provocative.”

Scott says "I found it way more enjoyable than I first thought from the initial premise.”

Hayley says that while this isn't a Must Watch for her, she thinks it's "watchable".

“I'm mostly watching it for the cast. I love Nick Offerman and I love Michelle Pfeiffer.”

“I don't think this goes as deep as it could. It's kind of light and fun.”

“It's a David E. Kelly production so I don't think it was ever going to be an excellent piece of television.”

Scott thinks this is a Must Watch but Hayley disagrees.

The first three episodes of Margo’s Got Money Troubles are available to watch now on Apple TV with a new episode out every Wednesday.

Fiona says that while she's 'not a huge fan of period programmes generally,' she 'absolutely loved' The Other Bennet Sister.

'The cast is great, especially Ella Bruccoleri and Donal Finn. I heavily persuaded my 18 year old daughter and my sister to watch it and they both loved it. It's funny and touching. A definite must watch.'

Janet from Isleworth said she 'binge watched' the whole of The Other Bennet Sister and she 'really enjoyed it'.

Dave said that 'he's not finding the new The Miniature Wife funny'.

'There’s just something about the American sense of humour that doesn’t land with me. Lots of American ‘comedy’ is fun, but not funny, which is fine I guess, but I genuinely can’t remember an actual American show that makes me laugh since the earlier days of The Simpsons'.

Michel said he binged Detective Hole and there were 'parts that made me feel physically sick involving a fingernail'.

'At times I felt the author had too much input into the production as executive producer and creator.'

Madhu wrote to the Must Watch team from Chennai, India.

'A couple of weeks ago, you recommended Must Watch to these reviews and I couldn’t agree more: The Pitt and TheNight Of - great shows'.

'Detective Hole is good too'.
