School leavers' hoodies: When do you get yours?

For some of you there's only a few months left of the school year before you break up for the summer and potentially move onto secondary or senior school.

Something that many schools do to celebrate is to make a 'leavers hoodie'.

Leavers' hoodies became popular around the mid-2000s, and are often printed with the first names of classmates or school-leavers, the year, and sometimes a school logo on a comfy hoodie.

But when do you think is the right time to get them?

Often the leavers hoodies are given out at the end of the school year - it means that signing them can be a fun joint task before everyone heads off for summer.

But it also means that children don't get much chance to wear them to school - so is the timing all wrong?

Some schools prefer to give them out at the beginning of the final year of primary, so children can wear them more during the year, not just at the end.

Also, if your school has leavers' hoodies, are pupils allowed to wear them at school?

And can you still wear them after you have left primary and moved onto secondary school, or is that a no-no?
