  2. Greenhouse Gas Emissions Statistics 2024 statementpublished at 15:09 BST

    Climate Action Secretary Gillian Martin will now deliver a statement on the Greenhouse Gas Emissions statistics for 2024.

    Scotland's planet-warming emissions have reduced but progress has continued to slow, the new figures show.

    The amount of greenhouse gases produced by the country in 2024 fell by 1% compared to the previous year.

    It is almost half of the reduction seen in 2023, when emissions fell by 1.9%.

    Presiding Officer Kenneth Gibson has read out all the nominations to be convener of Holyrood's committees.

    As every nomination led to an objection from at least one MSP the election will be conducted by secret ballot.

    The elections will take place in Committee Room 5 located outside the chamber on the first floor.

    The polling station will be open from 2.30pm to 7.00pm tonight.

    The results will be announced in the chamber at the start of business on Wednesday afternoon.

    Before we get to backbench FMQs, the election of conveners will take place following Time for Reflection.

    Then general questions need to be asked, so we may come to FMQs a little later than the scheduled 14:30.
