We'll shortly be bringing you more updates from Laura Kuenssberg's interviews with shadow foreign secretary Tom Tugendhat and Welsh First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth.

But now, we're turning to an interview with Jacob Coxon - an AI researcher who shared a viral resignation post last week after quitting AI company Anthropic. In it, he warned AI companies are "gambling with our lives".

He tells Kuenssberg people working on the technology are "genuinely frightened" about the speed of AI advancement and what it could mean for humanity.

"I believe that if we don't slow down at the current rate of progress, there is a strong chance that we could all die in the immediate future," he says.

He says some people working at AI firms are so concerned about the "fate of humanity" they are even "considering buying land somewhere".

"The people who work at these companies are completely serious when they ask for regulation because they find themselves trapped in a race. And they're scared of the outcomes of that race," he says.

Next up to be quizzed is Reform UK's economics spokesperson Robert Jenrick, who is first asked about potential law changes over political donations that will apply retrospectively - and if Reform will have to hand any donations back.

Jenrick says the party's understanding is that it will not have to hand back two £36m donations from crypto investors Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo over the past week.

"These two donations are entirely in line with the law as it is and, as far as we know, what it is going to be in the future," he says.

He describes the donations as a "huge vote of confidence" in Reform, which will allow the party to be "battle-ready" in the event on an early election.

Jenrick goes on to highlight donations from the trade unions to the Labour Party and House of Lords members who are Conservative donors, adding that Reform are "different".

Kuenssberg then asks how Reform can be the "party of the ordinary people" when it's "being bankrolled by billionaires".

Jenrick responds that Reform is the "only mass membership party left" with 270,000 members, who are the "foundation of the party" but adds that in order to compete with other parties it "had to go further".

He describes Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo as "patriotic Brits who love this country", adding that donors are not "buying anything" but "simply supporting our agenda".

First up in the red chair was Housing Secretary Angela Rayner. Here's a recap of the back and forth, which focused on political donations in the wake of two record-breaking £36m donations made to Reform UK:

• Rayner is asked repeatedly by Kuenssberg whether Labour would have accepted donations from cryptocurrency donors if offered. She says Labour has "strict protocols" but refuses to answer the question directly saying she doesn't know the "circumstances of these individual donors"
• She says Labour has refused donations in the past and does "clear vetting". But she adds that if a few individuals are seen as being able to fund power, "that is a concern"
• Rayner mentions the Rycroft review, which was commissioned last year in response to threats posed by foreign financial influence and interference in British democracy. Legislation is going through parliament at the moment following the review, and could apply retrospectively. Asked whether this could make the latest Reform donations illegal, Rayner again refuses to comment, saying she doesn't know the "individual circumstances" of these donations
• But commenting on the legislation in general, she says: "With retrospective action, anyone that's received donations that don't comply... would have 60 days to return that money"

Reform UK has received two £36m donations in the past two days - the largest amount ever given to a UK political party.

The first donation came from British cryptocurrency billionaire Ben Delo, who wrote in the Daily Telegraph that he was making the gift because he wanted a "fair fight and a level playing field" for the party.

The second was made by cryptocurrency investor Christopher Harborne, who said his "competitive spirit" had inspired him to equal Ben Delo's donation.

The £72m is more than the total received by all UK political parties last year, which stood at just over £69m.

Reform leader Nigel Farage said Harborne and Delo's "generosity" meant the party would "now be able to fight and win the next general election on a level playing field".

Politics seems to have found a new rhythm, one that feels a little familiar, despite Reform's jaw-dropping new donations putting it back in the headlines.

One cabinet minister is enjoying what they see as a newly obvious difference between Labour and the Tories.

A member of Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch's top team tells me, "normal jogging is reasserting itself", hopeful they're at the start of a more straightforward, routine moment in politics after years of craziness, with smaller parties vying to shove the traditional tribes out of the way.

The standout moment was at the dispatch box this week when Prime Minister Andy Burnham declared that national security couldn't come at the expense of social security - a phrase immediately seized on by the Tories, interpreting it as the PM saying he'd never cut welfare spending to pay for defence.

One senior conservative said: "It was a real line in the sand, we could never have imagined Sir Keir Starmer saying that."

But there is a positive atmosphere in No 10 too, one source telling me that the face-offs between Badenoch and Burnham have "breathed new life into the Labour versus Tory dynamic".
