Roles and Responsibilities
- Nathalie leads the teams responsible for Data and AI Governance, Product Analytics, Data Science, and Content Metadata, working closely with Data Engineering to shape and operate the BBC’s Enterprise Data Platforms.
- Set the data vision and strategy so BBC Enterprise products run on trusted, connected data spanning audience signals, content metadata, and commercial insight.
- Turn insight into action by driving measurement, analytics excellence, and data-science–powered decision-making across product teams.
- Build world-class data capability, people, processes, platforms, that scale metadata quality, optimise products, and unlock responsible AI innovation.
Biography
Nathalie joined the BBC in 2023 to establish a Data Governance and Responsible AI function within the Chief Product Office, supporting the organisation’s shift to a digital-first, product-led model. In late 2025, she became Product Data Director, leading delivery of the BBC’s Data Strategy and reshaping Product Data to support digital transformation and AI ambitions.
With over 20 years’ experience across media, financial services, fintech, and global organisations, Nathalie has a strong track record of building data governance, privacy, and risk capabilities, embedding data literacy and self-serve analytics, and operating effectively at executive and board level. Before the BBC, she previously held senior data roles in fintech and financial services organisations, including Aviva, and led major transformation programmes at Barclays.
